Hot take from new HBR research: the “job hopper” on your shortlist might be your best hire!!

A 15-year study of nearly 9,000 hedge fund managers found that candidates who’d made 4+ company moves recovered from the new-hire performance dip in about 2 months. Their more tenured peers took 5.

The difference wasn’t technical ability. It was practiced adaptability — the ability to read a new culture fast, build relationships quickly, and find their footing without a long runway.

In a world where organizations are constantly #restructuring, #pivoting, and #evolving, that’s not a liability. That’s a #superpower.

Worth asking: are we screening out exactly the people we need most?
